The timeline of the Uranus-Neptune cycle is always in the background of any historical development. The hard alignments between Uranus and Neptune coincide with profound shifts that are relatively easy to recognize in geopolitics, culture and spiritual or religious movements. In his book Cosmos and Psyche, Richard Tarnas focused on correlations with religious and spiritual movements (part VII: "Awakenings of Spirit and Soul"). 1136-1139: Uranus-Neptune conjunctions, highlighted by Jupiter's squares with Uranus and Neptune between Aug 1136 and May 1137, and later by Saturn's squares with Uranus and Neptune from 1137 to 1139. In May 1137 Jupiter and Saturn formed a rare T-square with the Uranus-Neptune conjunction.
1223: Jupiter's conjunction with Uranus of Oct 1223 highlighted the Uranus-Neptune oppositions of 1220-23.

1478-1479: Uranus-Neptune conjunctions, highlighted by Saturn's squares with Uranus and Neptune from 1476 to 1478, and later highlighted by Jupiter's oppositions to Uranus and Neptune from July 1478 to April 1479. In July 1478 Jupiter and Saturn formed a rare T-square with the Uranus-Neptune conjunction.

1563-66: Uranus-Neptune oppositions, highlighted by Jupiter's conjunction with Neptune of April 1562, and later highlighted by Saturn forming a T-square with Uranus and Neptune from 1566 to 1568.
