Timeline of Uranus-Neptune alignments (1136-2165)

The timeline of the Uranus-Neptune cycle is always in the background of any historical development. The hard alignments between Uranus and Neptune coincide with profound shifts that are relatively easy to recognize in geopolitics, culture and spiritual or religious movements.  In his book Cosmos and Psyche, Richard Tarnas focused on correlations with religious and spiritual movements (part VII: "Awakenings of Spirit and Soul"). My timeline of maritime empires suggests that this cycle can also be correlated with world history and geopolitics. 

Since the 12th century, Uranus-Neptune conjunctions and oppositions have occurred in the following years: 

• 1136: conjunctions

• 1220-23: oppositions

• 1307: conjunctions

• 1391-95: oppositions

• 1478-1479: conjunctions

• 1563-66: oppositions

• 1650: conjunctions

• 1735-38: oppositions

• 1821: conjunctions

• 1906-10: oppositions

• 1993: conjunctions

• The next oppositions will occur in 2078-81.

• The next conjunction will occur in 2165.

• 1126-1127: rare stellium of the four giant planets, from the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction of Sep 1126 until the Saturn-Neptune conjunction of Oct 1127. See the page about the ✨ stellia of the giant planets.

• 1136-1139: Uranus-Neptune conjunctions, highlighted by Jupiter's squares with Uranus and Neptune between Aug 1136 and May 1137, and later by Saturn's squares with Uranus and Neptune from 1137 to 1139. In May 1137 Jupiter and Saturn formed a rare T-square with the Uranus-Neptune conjunction. 

• 1223: Jupiter's conjunction with Uranus of Oct 1223 highlighted the Uranus-Neptune oppositions of 1220-23.

• 1391-95: Uranus-Neptune oppositions, highlighted by Jupiter's squares with Uranus and Neptune in Jan-Feb 1393. 

• 1478-1479: Uranus-Neptune conjunctions, highlighted by Saturn's squares with Uranus and Neptune from 1476 to 1478, and later highlighted by Jupiter's oppositions to Uranus and Neptune from July 1478 to April 1479. In July 1478 Jupiter and Saturn formed a rare T-square with the Uranus-Neptune conjunction. 

• 1484-1486: rare stellium of the four giant planets, from the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction of Nov 1484 until the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction of Jan 1486. See the page about the ✨ stellia of the giant planets.

• 1563-66: Uranus-Neptune oppositions, highlighted by Jupiter's conjunction with Neptune of April 1562, and later highlighted by Saturn forming a T-square with Uranus and Neptune from 1566 to 1568.  

• 1650: Uranus-Neptune conjunctions, highlighted by Jupiter forming a stellium with Uranus and Neptune in Nov-Dec 1651, and later highlighted by Saturn's trines with Uranus and Neptune from 1653 to 1655. 

• 1735-38: Uranus-Neptune oppositions, highlighted by the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction of Nov 1734, and later highlighted by the Saturn-Neptune conjunction of July 1738.  

• 1805-09: wide stellium formed by Saturn, Uranus and Neptune between the Saturn-Uranus conjunction of 1805 and the Saturn-Neptune conjunction of 1809. 

• 1821: Uranus-Neptune conjunctions, highlighted from mid-1818 to early 1820 by Saturn's squares with Uranus and Neptune, and later highlighted by Jupiter's squares with Uranus and Neptune in March 1821. 

• 1906-10: Uranus-Neptune oppositions, highlighted in 1909 by Saturn forming a T-square with Uranus and Neptune, and further highlighted in Nov 1910 by a Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus wide T-square. 

• 1993: Uranus-Neptune conjunctions, highlighted by Saturn's stellium with Uranus and Neptune in 1988-89, and further hightlighted by the Jupiter oppositions to Saturn, Uranus and Neptune from Aug 1989 to June 1990.
